Joshua Morse Marketing
DO BETTER MARKETING. SELL MORE STUFF.
Good marketing starts with knowing what matters, what doesn’t, and what to do next.
I’m Joshua Morse, a senior marketing consultant based in St Ives, Cornwall.
I offer straightforward marketing strategy, planning and mentoring, then help turn that thinking into useful marketing activity.

THE PATH TO BETTER MARKETING
Marketing shouldn’t be complicated. But when it feels unclear or inconsistent, it can drain your energy and leave good opportunities untaken.
You may know your marketing needs to work better, but still feel unsure what to fix first or what to do next.
That is where I can help. With 25 years’ experience in marketing strategy, planning and practical delivery, I help you make sense of the challenge, choose the right path and turn clearer thinking into useful activity.
Think of it like walking a coast path. Before you push on, you need to know where you are, where you are going, what conditions you are facing, and what you need for the journey.
The work follows five practical steps:
Check → Clarify → Construct → Communicate → Consolidate
STEP 1: CHECK
If you're wearing flip-flops on jagged rocks, you’re destined for a fall, so our first job is to see if you’ve got the marketing set-up and stamina the path ahead demands.
This is where we take a proper look at your current marketing. We review what you already have, where enquiries and sales are coming from, how clearly you are positioned, what your competitors are doing, and where your marketing may be weak, confused or underused.

Marketing Audit
Stop wasting money and focus on the things that matter. A marketing audit shows you what’s working, and what’s not.

Competitor Study
Competitor studies analyse your rivals' products and pricing, so you can beat them at their own game.

Market Entry Study
Thinking of entering a new market? A market entry study can tell you if the grass really is greener over there.
STEP 2: CLARIFY
You’ll need a clear map to stay on track, so our second job is to plan your route to better marketing.
This is where we turn the findings into a clear plan. We decide who you need to reach, what you need to say, which opportunities are worth pursuing, what should happen first, and what can safely wait.

Marketing Strategy
Your marketing strategy is like a map. It clarifies the big picture and helps you choose your path.

Marketing Plan
Your marketing plan sets out tasks which will make your strategy happen, with dates and costs.

Product Strategy
Your product strategy helps you give people the product they want, profitably.
STEP 3: CONSTRUCT
Your essential kit needs to be built to last the journey, so our third job is to give your marketing a firm foundation.
This is where we build the core materials your marketing needs. That may mean improving your website structure, sharpening your message, creating sales materials, writing useful content, or setting up practical tools that make future marketing easier and more consistent.

Brochures
Brochures, leaflets and more, which help people weigh up what you offer, and see where you win.

Sales Tools
Give your team the best chance to sell with sales tools like data sheets and product guides.

Case Studies
Tell how your business solves real-world problems and win new customers along the way.
STEP 4: COMMUNICATE
You’ll need to regularly top up your essential supplies, so our fourth job is to keep your brand fuelled for the journey and fresh in people’s minds.
This is where the plan turns into visible activity. We put the right messages in front of the right people through clear, regular communication, whether that is through your website, email, PR, social media, campaigns or other useful channels.

Articles
Well written stories in journals and online, help to keep your name first in mind.

Advertising
Both online and old-school print ads are here to stay. Get the message right for better results.

Social Media
Rock their reels and stop their thumbs with content that connects your brand to their life.
STEP 5: CONSOLIDATE
We’ll reach a point where you can walk the path with confidence and my guiding role begins to fade, so our fifth and final job is to pass the knowledge on.
This is where we make sure the work can keep going. We review what has been built, tidy up the loose ends, explain the thinking behind it, and give you or your team the knowledge, habits and structure to keep making better marketing decisions.

Inspiration Days
Inspiration days purpose built to crack your product and marketing challenges.
AGREED PRICES, TRACKED TIME
With prices agreed upfront and trackable time as work goes on, you’ll always know where you stand.

The year is 2012 and a choking pessimism grips the nation. The London olympic games are just around the corner, and they are widely expected to expose everything that is wrong with modern Britain.
And yet, the opposite happens. The clouds part. The stadiums bounce. And for a few golden weeks, Britain feels bold, capable, and full of possibility.
And sometime in that giddy summer, I asked myself: 'what if I aimed higher, too?'
Up until then, I’d followed a solid corporate path. Market research, then product marketing for leading consumer brands. It was enjoyable. But it also became predictable.
Today, I work across industries, from pizza to precision robotics, from supermarkets to superyachts.
Every client, every project, every challenge is different. But my job is always the same: helping people feel the world is full of possibility, just like we felt in 2012.
I work worldwide from my hometown of St Ives in Cornwall. Contact me today to plan what we'll make happen together.
